To participate all students must register through this site. Each group entry must select one group leader. All students must be present for the interview on the day of the competition. Check your calendar to make sure there will be no conflict with attendance at Region 5 in Missouri NHD.

The Department of History of the University of Missouri-St Louis has hosted the regional NHD event for over twenty years. A large number of St Louis area historians, archivists, librariansand history lovers serve as volunteer judges. Over the years a good number of our region's students have advanced to the state and national finals.
The 2023 National History Day is an in-person event. Judging will begiun at 9:30 am Saturday, March 2, 2024. Teacher's will be emailed the interview time for each of their students. All Exhibits must be set up by 9:30 on the day of the competition. The Awards Ceremony will be Saturday, March 2, at 2:30 pm. Lucas Hall 100.
